Well Friday-New Years Eve- night sucked, I got really sick I had been having a little head cold but got bad headache nausea chills and that horrible discomfort, I had to take Zofran and slept from like 3PM to 6 AM
Work went OK but I felt like crap but better by Sunday still a little queasy. I wondered sinus thing with aggravating the Clkindamycin ravaged stomach, as the symptoms started the day after my ;ast does.
One of my fears was to get sick right about now.
I called the office today.Monday the day before surgery and she didn't think it was a big deal.
Today I had a lot to do but instead looked all over Westerly for a open barber, no luck. Maybe I will do my own. I finally finished the gate, as the temporary paneling/plastic wrap gave way and I was outside hammering pickets in 35 degrees with Domino barking for me to throw the ball.
Went to the Grills Preserve for last walk, snow has almost melted ;leaving coats of frozen slush/snow on the trails. At one time I would have avoided ice but with this knee now, who cares?
It was nice and I hope to get back there very soon, It will be one of those motivating things, doing the flat loop but maybe a little elevation like big hill? cool.
I stopped to rest on the blow down by the ox bow and along the white pine and left over oak leaves stuck on trees i thought of two other people's surgery stories. One was this old guy when I , he came in with bad circulation in his leg and come to us to see if we could do anything, we couldn't and he sat there awaiting amputation-an old worn old man and I remember his face and the sadness of his case. I also thought of Laurie, who when that cancer wrapped itself around her ureters, she opted to not have drains placed, that procedure would have added a few moments to her life, a life of pain, a life complications and a new fractured hip. I was never more impressed in my life than the way she made that decision.
well the time for tomorrow is now 12 noon, Hibiclins shower, done. NPO, started man if that ain't the hardest part?
